The New Westen's Carpet & Flooring

“This town has really been making major improvements in the last few years with downtown improvements,”
“The businesses here are all so supportive of each other.”

The unthinkable happened to Jeff and Sherri Westen last summer when fire destroyed their longtime downtown business.
But that setback didn’t stop Westen’s Carpet and Flooring. For the past year, the couple have operated out of a warehouse and now are happy to be in the rebuilt store at the original location at the top of the hill on East Main Street.
“It was a tough year,” said Jeff Westen. “We did about 20 percent of our normal business for the year.”Westen said the view for the future looks promising again.
“People were so supportive before, during and after the fire,” he said. “There was no second choice for us to go anywhere else. Middleville is a great little town, and the people here are the greatest.” The Westens have been in business for 30 years, 14 at the Middleville site.
The new 6,000-square-foot facility at 210 E. Main offers a more user-friendly space,
“It’s modern, and we have a lot of items on display,” he said.
A small portion of the building is leased to Affordable Carpet Cleaning. Middleville Pro Hardware store, which also was in the destroyed building, is not reopening.
